Estates

Losing a loved one is challenging. We can assist you with the estate administration and make this difficult period easier for you and your loved ones. Please select the option that best suits your needs.

Deceased died with a will

If the deceased died with a will we would need a copy of the will to confirm the steps required going forward. If the deceased has property or more than $15,000 worth of assets in his or her sole name then the executor(s) will require probate to administer the estate. The executor(s) named in the will who apply to the high court for authority to administer the estate. This is called probate. This can seem daunting but we can help you with this process.

Deceased Died without a Will

If the deceased died without a Will, we can assist with Letters of Administration. Again, this process can seem daunting but we would be happy to assist you during this process.

Deceased died with minimal assets

If the deceased died with minimal assets (under $15,000) then it is usually called an “informal estate”. Most banks or other organisations have processes for dealing with informal estates without the need for lawyers, however we can help you navigate the administration of an informal estate or provide guidance if you require it.

Deceased died and I want to transfer the house

If the only major asset of the deceased’s is a jointly held asset, we can help have it transferred to the survivor(s) - whether it’s a house, investment or something else.
